The Professional Development Workshop provides a practical overview of air quality requirements for stationary combustion equipment (boilers, heaters, engines, and turbines). Participants will gain a strong foundation in key federal and state regulations, with an emphasis on applicability in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.

The course will cover regulatory assessments for new and existing equipment, common compliance challenges, and best practices for building and maintaining effective air compliance programs. Topics include permitting strategies, documentation expectations, source testing planning and execution, and reporting. Presenters will include consultants, source testing firms, and regulators. Emerging issues such as proposed rulemakings and recent court decisions affecting air programs will also be covered.
