PNWIS Communications just recently met with GIS/remote-sensing scientist Anna Ballasiotes to chat about A&WMA and career prospects in the Pacific Northwest. Anna has recently graduated from Oregon State University with a Master’s Degree in Geography, specializing in GIS/remote-sensing with environmental applications. She is finishing a project as a technical lead under the NASA DEVELOP program and is interested in her next adventure, seeking employment in the Pacific Northwest (or beyond). She is particularly interested in environmental issues and work related to water, marine protection, and wetlands in a position that will give her the opportunity to apply her skills in ArcGIS, coding, and analysis to help her team thrive.
