The Oregon Chapter of A&WMA is organizing a tour of NW Natural’s Sherwood facility. At this facility NW Natural is blending hydrogen into their building to test the system for future greenhouse gas emissions savings opportunities. Sherwood is also home to the NW Natural Training Town, a state-of-the-art training facility that features tiny homes where employees and local first responders can train on how to respond to a variety of emergencies.
This is a unique opportunity to join a small group and see firsthand how Oregon’s largest natural gas utility operates and is planning for a decarbonized future. The event will include a short presentation followed by a tour of the facility, including Training Town. After the tour, those who are interested are invited to attend a happy hour at nearby Stickman Brewery.
Registration is FREE.
