Graduating with a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD is a major achievement, yet transitioning from academia to the workforce can be challenging—particularly in specialized fields such as environmental science, air quality, and waste management. This webinar equips participants with practical tools and insights to launch a successful career in North America’s environmental sector. Drawing on perspectives from government, industry, consulting, and academia, the session provides actionable advice, sector-specific resources, and strategies for navigating early career decisions. Participants will also learn how to use A&WMA’s Job Board and Career Center, and how the Mentoring Program can help build meaningful professional connections. By the end, attendees will have a clearer career direction and stronger ties to the A&WMA network.
