The 61st Annual Conference of the Pacific Northwest International Section of the Air & Waste Management Association was held October 25th – 27th 2023 in Suquamish, WA at The Clearwater Resort. The conference was attended by over 200 environmental professionals.

The conference’s keynote speaker was Casey Sixkiller, Regional Administrator of EPA Region 10, Seattle. Also, special guest A&WMA past president Nancy Meilahn Fowler spoke at the President’s Luncheon.

The Gala event was held at the beautiful Kiana Lodge, located about a mile southwest of the conference center. Highlights of the Gala included dinner and dancing.

Polar Bear Plunge Event

Many PNWIS 2023 participants began Thursday morning with a cold dip in the Puget Sound in the first PNWIS Polar Bear Plunge! Thank you to Geosyntec Consultants for sponsoring the event.
