- This year proposals are due by 5pm PST on TUESDAY October 4, 2022. You will get the tweak at this time.
- Early identification of teams is VERY HELPFUL – the sooner you can get me team names/ participants, the better! Please let me know of your team’s intent to compete no later than September 30, 2022.
- We will have a kick-off meeting at the conference on Tuesday October 11, during a 1:30pm timeslot. This will be to introduce role players and rules. This will also be the session where you will discuss your proposals with the role players and get their feedback you will need to incorporate into your final presentations.
- Final presentations will be held during the conference on Wednesday October 12th. Like previous years, plan for no more than 15 minutes of presentation followed by 5 minutes of questions and answers. If your presentation is shorter than 15 minutes, the extra time may be used for further questions.
- Winners will be announced during the final day of the conference at the Awards Luncheon.

The PNWIS 2022 Conference's planning committee has developed a professional development course for new and seasoned Environmental Managers alike: Environmental Awareness Basics for Environmental Managers and Professionals
The course will cover the regulatory framework and associated monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting concepts for the different media and programs that are core to the role of environmental managers. Topics will include:
- Overview – Regulatory/Liability
- Clean Water Act
- Clean Air Act
- EPCRA
- Tanks Program (UST/AST)
- DOT HAZMAT
- TSCA/FIFRA
- RCRA
