Welcome to the Pacific Northwest International Section (PNWIS) of the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA). Our goal is to continue to be a world-class professional organization that offers a neutral open-forum for the exchange of ideas and knowledge in environmental management and associated fields. PNWIS and its chapters offer a host of opportunities for networking, education, and open discussion.
PNWIS proudly serves Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington – USA and British Columbia, and the Yukon – Canada with eight chapters throughout the region. Our membership consists of professionals from a wide range of sectors including government, industry, consulting, and academia.

Join us for a Bellingham Bells game on Sunday, June 5th - first pitch is at 1:05 pm. The Bells is a summer collegiate, wood bat baseball team. We have reserved a section in the outfield with grass and picnic tables, plenty of room to run around and a great view of the action. Food and drinks are available to purchase at the stadium.

You are invited to join the A&WMA Oregon Chapter on Wednesday, June 29th from 5 to 7 pm for the Annual Legal Update. Jeffrey Hunter with Perkins Coie will bring the past year’s legal and regulatory cases into context in this popular annual presentation. Topics include recent decisions and regulations related to CERCLA, CWA, CAA, RCRA, NEPA, and other environmental laws. This event is back in person at the lovely Perkins Coie office in downtown Portland.
