Welcome to the Pacific Northwest International Section (PNWIS) of the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA). Our goal is to continue to be a world-class professional organization that offers a neutral forum for the exchange of ideas and knowledge in environmental management and associated fields. PNWIS and its chapters offer a host of opportunities for networking, education, and open discussion.
PNWIS proudly serves USA states Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington, and Canadian provinces British Columbia and Yukon with eight professional chapters and several student chapters. Our membership consists of professionals from a wide range of sectors including government, industry, consulting, academia, and students.

A&WMA provides programs and activities designed and conducted by environmental professionals for environmental professionals.

Save the Date! Annual Legal Update – Court Cases and Regulatory Developments You Should Know About In Person! Tuesday June 20th, 2023 5-7 pm
You are invited to join the A&WMA Oregon Chapter on Tuesday, June 20th from 5 to 7 pm for the Annual Legal Update. Jeffrey Hunter with Perkins Coie will bring the past year’s legal and regulatory cases into context in this popular annual presentation. Topics include recent decisions and regulations related to CERCLA, CWA, CAA, RCRA, NEPA, and other environmental laws. This event is back in person at the lovely Perkins Coie office in downtown Portland. There will also be a call-in option for those who are unable to make it in person. More details to follow.
