The Air Quality Program (AQP) within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill the GHG Emissions and Verification, Third-Party Verifier Program Specialist (Environmental Specialist 5)(In-Training) position. This position will be located at their Headquarters Building in Lacey, WAand is not currently required to work in the office on a regular basis.

This position will be part of the unit within the CCA Implementation Group – the GHG Reporting and Verification Unit – that receives, reviews, and evaluates GHG emission reports and provides the foundation for the success of the whole cap-and-invest program. Businesses and entities that participate in the cap-and-invest program are required to have their emissions data independently verified by third-party verifiers. In this position you will be responsible for the success of third-party verification, including certifying and training third-party verifiers, ensuring the accuracy and quality of reports and materials, developing databases and tools, and serving as the agency expert on this program.
