Oregon Job Opportunity: Air Quality Natural Resource Specialist (Natural Resource Specialist 3)
Oregon DEQ is recruiting for a permit writer for our Western Region Office in Salem, Oregon.
What you will do:
As the Air Quality Natural Resource Specialist, you will assign facilities to General Air Contaminant Discharge Permits (ACDP) and draft Simple and Standard Air Contaminant Discharge Permits for industrial, commercial and municipal air quality sources. Additionally, you will provide technical assistance at an advanced level, perform on-site inspections of sources that can have operational variability and may have intricate and less easily understood production and control technologies. You will also assist and provide direction in determining compliance with air quality statutes and regulations. You will perform complex investigations by applying innovative solutions, advanced technical expertise, and independent determination. In addition, you will interact with public stakeholders to provide explanations, assistance, and respond to complaints.
