Vapor Intrusion: Regulatory & Implementation Updates Technical Luncheon

Join us to hear about current themes and regulatory updates regarding vapor intrusion in Oregon and beyond. A range of factors must be considered during vapor intrusion (VI) assessment, such as receptor scenarios, background sources, preferential pathways, spatial and temporal variability, and regulatory screening criteria. The framework and tools available for practitioners to address these challenges continue to evolve, with the first major regulatory update underway in Oregon during 2023. Henning Larsen or Mike Poulsen [TBD] will discuss DEQ’s draft revisions to VI guidance. Lisa Goode will provide an overview of some of the common challenges and solutions related to VI assessment and decision-making, including advanced techniques being used to understand, quantify, and resolve key issues. Jeff Peterson will provide an overview of human health risk considerations that drive assessment and response practices.
